Okay, these guys are seriously good. All I know is I was in a coffeeshop and all of a sudden I found myself singing along – loudly and tapping my foot with feeling.
The Bird and the Bee
“The Bird and the Bee? We’re all obsessed with this album,” was the response when I asked the guy behind the counter what we were listening to.
The album is a tribute to Hall and Oates. And it’s good. The lyrics are familiar ones, of course, but the voices are as well. I sat for a good while trying to think, unsuccessfully, what they reminded me of. In the end it doesn’t really matter. The album is the kind of good that makes it an instant friend. It will be playing in my car, on my ipod, and foisted onto anyone who expresses any interest in music.
Yes, friends, it’s that awesome.
